HSPE (THE NEW WASL): Sophomores, juniors and seniors it’s that time of year again. All sophomores need to take and pass the reading and writing portion of the HSPE. Not passing the math portion will require you to take and pass 2.0 additional math credits after your sophomore year. Take this assessment seriously and get through it this year so you don’t have to think about the next 2 years. Juniors and seniors who have not passed any of the 3 required sections are automatically registered to retake them. Passing all 3 sections earns you a Certificate of Academic Achievement on your transcript. Passing just the reading and writing does not. If you are a senior earning the 2.0 math requirement you should still attempt the math HSPE. HPSE dates are March 16 – Reading; March 17 and 18 – writing; April 13 - Math; April 15 – Science (sophomores only). If you have any questions see Mr. Glass in the counseling hallway in SE211.
