Professional Work Habits

All Ballard High School business courses are designed to prepare students for post-high school college and work. Students who take business courses will be learning more than just academic curriculum - they will also be learning how to be quality employees in the workplace. Washington State OSPI requires that Career and Technical Education programs - like business education - prepare students with proper employability and leadership skills. We believe that these skills will prepare students to become better employees in the workplace.

Examples of Professional Work Habit skills are:

  • Responsibility
  • Productivity
  • Attendance
  • Cleanliness
  • General Behavior
  • Reliability
  • Leadership

Many of our courses include these skills as a portion of the students' overall grades.
